Pembroke Park Primary School

Pupil Premium

Our local community is mostly within the Bemerton Heath area of Salisbury. This area is one of the top 10% deprived wards in England and our high Free School Meals/Pupil Premium reflects this.

At Pembroke Park Primary, our vision — “Every child, every chance, every day” — is at the heart of how we use our Pupil Premium funding. We believe education has the power to transform lives, and we are committed to ensuring that every pupil, regardless of background or challenge, has access to high-quality teaching and rich learning experiences. Our approach is rooted in evidence-based practice and responsive to the needs of our pupils. High-quality teaching is our top priority, supported by targeted academic interventions and wider strategies that nurture wellbeing, attendance, and engagement.

Through initiatives such as Thrive, ELSA, Forest School, and focused curriculum support, we address both academic and social-emotional barriers to learning.

We monitor the impact of our work rigorously and adapt our strategies based on what makes the greatest difference. By acting early, raising expectations, and fostering a culture of inclusion and ambition, we aim to ensure that all pupils - particularly those who are disadvantaged - make strong progress and flourish as confident, capable, and compassionate learners.

Mrs Clare McCracken (Head Teacher) is our Pupil Premium Lead.
