Term Dates
In line with government regulations, parents are strongly discouraged from taking holidays during term time. The Education Regulations state that headteachers may not authorise leave of absence during term time unless there are exceptional circumstances.
Any request for leave must be made in advance and will be considered on an individual basis. Holidays, including those taken for convenience or cost, do not meet the criteria for exceptional circumstances and are unlikely to be authorised. Unauthorised absence may result in a penalty notice being issued by the local authority. We ask all families to support their child’s education by planning holidays outside of term time wherever possible.
